Information Regarding the Ongoing Mortgage Crisis Situation in PARecently, Personal Financial Management (OPFM, Inc.) and Image Masters filed for bankruptcy, which will continue to have a significant impact on many individuals in the 44th Senatorial District and throughout the Commonwealth. These companies are also under investigation by state and federal authorities. This is understandably a very stressful time for borrowers and in an attempt to aid my constituents I have gathered a list of phone numbers and web sites to ensure that they have access to the most helpful resources available. Pennsylvania Department of Banking - 1-800-PABANKS The Department of Banking has been reaching out to everyone they know to be affected by the closure of OPFM, Inc., and Image Masters to assist them in contacting and working with the lender or bank that holds the lender's mortgage; contact 1-800-PABANKS. In addition, the Department reminds anyone who was on an automatic deposit plan with their bank to make regular payments to OPFM, Inc., or Image Masters to contact the bank to have these payments canceled. Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office - 717-787-3391 Attorney General Tom Corbett is encouraging lenders to file complaints with the Bureau of Consumer Protection as quickly as possible to aid the investigation in moving forward. More information about filing a consumer complaint, as well as the supporting documentation requested by the Attorney General's office, is available at http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/press.aspx?id=2956.
