FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Joint Hearing of Senate Law & Justice Committee & House Liquor Control Committee to Discuss Underage DrinkingSenator John Rafferty (R-44) today announced that the Senate Law and Justice Committee and the House Liquor Control Committee will hold a joint hearing to discuss underage drinking issues on Monday, July 18, at 10 a.m. in room 8 EW of the Capitol. This hearing is part of a series of meetings being held by both committees to identify and confront the problems of underage drinking in the Commonwealth. The committees will hear testimony from Pennsylvanians Against Underage Drinking, the SADD National Student of the Year, the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office, MADD, Drug Free Pennsylvania, the PA State System of Higher Education, the Marywood University Dean of Student Affairs, the PA Beer Wholesalers Association and other experts.
