Alternative Energy & Environmental Resource ExpoThe environment is on the minds of many these days and Sen. John Rafferty, with the help of Rep. Mike Vereb, worked to make sure it stayed there with the second annual Alternative Energy and Environment Resource Expo. Held at Spring-Ford School District's 9th Grade Center, the event brought together a wide range of companies and organizations from across the environmental landscape. The expo gave a diverse group of organizations, including national, state and local environmental groups, state agencies and energy producers the opportunity to get their message and product before residents served by the two legislators. "We had a diverse group of vendors, service providers and community organizations who participated either as an exhibitor or a sponsor of the event," Sen. Rafferty said. "Each made a commitment to encourage a positive environmental stewardship through action and community interaction." "This expo was a wonderful opportunity for residents to learn more about alternative energy options and ways we can all be more environmentally friendly in our daily lives," Rep. Vereb said. The event attracted a diverse group of people, from families to students and environmental clubs, educating guests on how individuals and communities can positively impact the environment.
